The delivery industry has grown enormously over the last ten years. How do you show this growth to a B2B market in a way that brings in the people behind it - without resorting to charts?
To open MetaPack’s 2015 Delivery Conference, Flying Object was commissioned to create an uplifting film that answered this question. We hit upon the idea of using the sounds of these deliveries, as if happening live. We wanted to to hear all the knocks, and doorbells, and beeps of barcode scanners that the UK delivery industry is generating every second - and while staying true to the volume, mould them into a piece of music.
For the 2016 conference we took a different approach and decided to show the importance of individual deliveries. Every Delivery Matters showed genuine reactions to receiving or opening a parcel, sourced from clips around the web, to highlight the importance of MetaPacks service on a granular, rather than nationwide level.
The 2017 conference was themed around the future, so we decided to take a fast paced look at the evolution of delivery. Creating a richly animated and scored work with a skilled team of creatives, we took the viewer on a journey through time from the invention of the wheel to the skies of the future filled with drones. This year we also worked with MetaPack to produce content from the event itself, including a 360 degree time lapse and a highlights package from the day to close the conference.
