Demonstrating Google’s commitment to driving change in India

Building on the hugely successful In A Day franchise (which Tim created while at YouTube, with Life in a Day), this project turned the focus on India, and the effects of its rapid technological evolution on the day-to-day lives of its inhabitants.

On October 10, 2015, we invited anyone in India with a phone to contribute footage for a feature film to be directed by Richie Mehta and produced by Ridley Scott and Anurag Kashyap. The result was the biggest crowd-sourced project in Indian history.

Flying Object produced the outreach campaign, asking for footage from people across India. We helped develop the creative concept and strategy, project managed the development of the website, produced the launch video and brought together different partners on three continents to hit a tight deadline.
