Learning in the AI Era
EVENT IDENTITY | MOTION
Overview AI is changing how we learn. Google’s unique position as a leader both in edtech and AI puts them in a natural position to drive this conversation, including at a key thought-leadership event at their Mountain View campus.
Briefed to design the event identity, we took inspiration from shared elements in both human and machine learning — the finding of unexpected connections, multimodality, and the nature of curiosity — to create a kaleidoscopic design system that can contain all manner of content while remaining simple to implement and scale.
Objectives Express Google’s position on AI’s strengths in learning — its flexibility, nonlinearity, and multimodal nature — in a way that looks both sophisticated but playful, builds on Google’s unmistakable brand qualities, and can be developed into a simple to use, consistent design system.
Idea The Network of Learning — a design system built on the visual concept of a kaleidoscope, both free-form in approach but mathematical in underpinning, with careful use of simple 2D shapes in symmetrical layouts to look classy, approachable, and unmistakably Google.
